The story is about four children who each have their own challenges. Christine has lost her hair because of a disease, Billy has trouble learning things, Jimmy uses a wheelchair, and Alice has different interests than some of her friends. Eventually, they come together and discover some important things about each other. Teachers, children and families will find this book enjoyable and valuable. I recommend it. The story will help children to have healthy self-esteem.

It really shows the importance of living yourself and accepting others for themselves” name=”Kelly”][santos_testimonial_carousel_item quote_color=”#1e73be” name_color=”#1e73be” position_color=”#1e73be” quote=”This is a great book to read with kids, especially with the questions at the end of the story! At recess, children with various issues — an illness, a wheelchair, a learning disability, for example — band together to form their own circle of friendship. The gifts of kindness and acceptance among the kids allow them to gain confidence in themselves and improve their feelings of self-worth and happiness. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if everybody realized that “each one of us is a little bit unique in their own way“? The generosity of spirit toward others is also a heart-warming lesson.” name=”Kathy” position=”Author & editor”][/santos_testimonial_carousel][/vc_column][/vc_row]
